We are currently seeking a CAD Project Engineer for our Manchester, MI headquarters, near Ann Arbor. The CAD Project Engineer (full-time, days) will utilize PLM to manage all current, proposed and conceptual plant layout drawings and production line design, support bid package preparation and provide CAD support to Program Managers, Manufacturing Engineers and Plant Engineers. Serve as the Project Engineering PLM Champion. Travel to North American manufacturing plants to verify physical plant and equipment layouts is needed. Extensive travel is required with approximately 50% domestic and limited international travel. The Engineer updates plant layouts with site information collected and information received from other engineers and managers. Generate comprehensive project drawings needed to engineer, validate and construct bills of materials for capital projects. Create as-built drawings of completed projects and collect data from existing plants for updated plant layouts. Collect and validate drawings/templates from machinery and equipment suppliers as well as input vendor drawings and templates into the PLM System. Coordinate PLM Training for department personnel and provide weekly and monthly CAD Project Engineering Reports as required. This analytical professional will maintain a CAD Project Engineering Dashboard.
